Senior Applications Engineer

Description and Responsibilities:

The candidate will be working with customers to deploy leading edge wirelessHD silicon solutions into the consumer marketplace. The responsibilities include:

•  Provide technical design support to customers and collect technical customer feedback regarding design-in of our
   WirlessHD semiconductor devices.

•  Provide system level hardware support, programming support, and documentation support to customers

The candidate should have good general knowledge of wireless communications, CE design requirements and tradeoffs, and A/V performance testing methodology. The candidate should also have the ability to customize reference designs according to customer needs, and the ability to debug the design in the customer systems.

Requirements:

Experience in the following areas is required:

•  Experience working with customers is required, and such experience in consumer electronics applications is preferred.

•  Wireless communication systems and digital audio/video systems.

•  Experience in the following areas is desirable:

•  Board level hardware design, FPGA design or uP firmware design.

•  Wired or wireless communication, standard and interoperability.

Candidates must have an M.S or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or a related field, and 5+ years of working experience in a related technical field, or a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and at least 8+ years of experience in a technical related field.

Knowledge of and experience with schematic capture and board layout tools such as OrCAD, Allegro or PADS is desired.

This position also requires excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to travel to assist customers at international sites.
