President & CEO of SiBEAM, Inc., Featured Presenter at the Fifth Annual DisplaySearch HDTV Conference.  John LeMoncheck to Present SiBEAM’s Perspectives on Wired and Wireless Home Connectivity Solutions Panel

Sunnyvale, Calif. – September 26, 2007 – SiBEAM, Inc., a leading innovator of millimeter wave (mmWave) solutions and developer of high-speed wireless communications announced today that President and CEO, John LeMoncheck will be a featured presenter in the Home Connectivity panel at DisplaySearch’s Fifth annual HDTV Conference, held in Los Angeles, California.  John LeMoncheck will speak on a panel discussing wired and wireless home connectivity solutions that will take place on October 11, 2007.

Wireless connectivity is a key feature for consumers, bringing convenience, simplicity and mobility as experienced with the use of cellular, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth technologies.  This craving for an unwired environment has now seeped into the digital living room and consumers are demanding this capability on their HDTVs. Imagine the full quality of a wired A/V connection for uncompressed high definition 1080p, coupled with the ease of use, ease of placement, and unified control capabilities of a fully interconnected wireless system.

How can customers simply create an intelligent wireless video area network (WVAN) capable of delivering true uncompressed high quality high definition content among HDTVs and other devices with a digital interface? What is driving this demand now and what is the market opportunity? How will this technology work with existing LANs, WLANs, DLNA, MoCA & UPnP?

John LeMoncheck will address these questions and examine:

- How millimeter wave wireless technology, specifically 60GHz, is the key to enabling this reality for HDTVs today and in the future

- The importance of developing a global industry standard to ensure interoperability among many CE & PC manufacturers’ equipment

- Compressed vs. uncompressed audio video delivery – What are the advantages and disadvantages?

SiBEAM CTO Jeff Gilbert to present paper at Hot Chips 2007

Since it started in 1989, HOT CHIPS has been known as one of the semiconductor industry's leading conferences on high-performance microprocessors and related integrated circuits. The conference is held once a year in August on the Stanford University campus in the center of the world's capital of electronics activity, Silicon Valley. The conference emphasis this year, as in previous years, is on real products and realizable technology. This year, they expect 500+ attendees, representing more than 200 companies, from 15 different countries worldwide to join on August 19 ~21st, 2007. A technical paper by SiBEAM was hand selected by a Program Committee, out of about 100 submissions to be one of just 28 presentations. SiBEAM was selected on the basis of the performance of the device, degree of innovation, use of advanced technology, potential market significance, and anticipated interest to the audience. Dr. Jeff Gilbert, CTO of SiBEAM, Inc., will present the paper co-authored by himself as well as SiBEAM founders Chinh Doan, Sohrab Emami and Dr. Bernard Shung. The presentation will center around the world's first chipset capable of achieving true uncompressed high quality high definition wireless audio and video display using the 7GHz of continuous bandwidth around the 60GHz frequency band. Dr. Gilbert will make his presentation on Tuesday August 21st, 2007 at 9:30am.For more information: http://www.hotchips.org/hc19/main_page.htm
