FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
SiBEAM, Inc., Again Recognized by EE Times As Emerging Startup To Watch
Sunnyvale, Calif. September 18, 2007 SiBEAM, Inc., a leading innovator of millimeter wave (mmWave) solutions and developer of high-speed wireless communications platforms has again been selected as one of 60 companies in version 6.1 of the EE Times Emerging Startups list. SiBEAM was also recognized in 2006 as an EE Times Emerging Startup List. SiBEAM was selected by EE Times editors based on a mix of criteria including: technology, intended market, maturity, financial position and investment profile. SiBEAM was the first to break the barriers of 60 GHz technology in 2005 with the development of working 60 GHz chipsets for non-line-of-sight applications, built using standard CMOS manufacturing techniques. In June 2007, SiBEAM exited stealth mode and announced its vision to transform the wireless landscape by enabling very high-speed wireless applications at higher frequencies with its unprecedented OmniLink60TM wireless semiconductor technology. SiBEAM’s OmniLink60TM delivers true, non-line-of-sight beam steering and A/V connectivity for wireless applications at the 60 GHz band. SiBEAM’s first products will be WirelessHDTM compliant and will be used for wireless, uncompressed high-definition video display. Other startups included on the list include companies involved in semiconductor chips, memory, MEMS, EDA software, foundry manufacturing, semiconductor production equipment, electronics subsystems, packaging and materials that have made an impression on EE Times editors.
