SiBEAM Names David Yao Vice President of Sales for the Asia-Pacific Region

Industry Sales Veteran to Focus on Building Sales Momentum in Asia and Opening 
New Sales Office in Japan

SUNNYVALE, California – October 22, 2007 - SiBEAM, Inc., a leading innovator of millimeter wave (mmWave) solutions and developer of high-speed wireless communications platforms, today announced the appointment of David Yao as Vice President of Sales for Asia Pacific.  Yao will manage all sales activity and distributor partnerships throughout Asia. He will also drive the opening of new sales offices in Asia and oversee the growth and management of the Asia Pacific sales team and SiBEAM distributors.

Yao has extensive high-tech semiconductor sales and product management expertise. He joins SiBEAM from Silicon Image, where he was Vice President of Field Sales, responsible for sales activity in the Asia Pacific and North America regions.  His  experience in leading worldwide sales initiatives, identifying and developing new growth opportunities, and strong track record in achieving sales results will be invaluable for SiBEAM’s success as the company’s first products, based on the WirelessHD™ standard for HD audio and video as well as data delivery, roll out to customers.

Prior to joining Silicon Image, Yao was the director of sales in Japan for Trident Microsystems where he managed all OEM sales activities for major clients including Sony, NEC and IBM.  Before Trident, Yao served as product marketing manager for the Graphics Chipset Division at Intel Corp. where he led product road-map developments and formulated product strategies for its mobile products.

Yao holds a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Santa Clara University and speaks fluent Mandarin and English.
