Engineer, Microwave Test & Characterization
Description and Responsibilities:
We are looking for an experienced lab engineer to work with R&D designers to test, characterize, and debug RF and mixed-signal circuits and systems. The qualified candidate must be able to write routines to automate test equipment and data collection and organize the data into a structured database.
Requirements:
Responsibilities:
• Work with R&D design engineers to test, characterize, debug, and document performance of prototype
microwave devices and circuits
• Test and characterization of components ranging from individual transistors, RF circuit blocks (low-noise amplifiers,
power amplifiers, mixers, oscillators),
• Perform on-wafer microwave (>10 GHz) measurements using an automated wafer probe station
• Write diagnostic tests or routines as required to support circuit analysis and troubleshooting.
• Collect and organize all test and measurement data
Qualifications:
• B.S. Engineering degree or equivalent with 4 years related experience
• Experienced with high-frequency test equipment used to test and debug RFICs
• Experience with writing shell scripts (Unix/Linux) for instrument automation and to filter/manipulate text-based files
• Willingness to learn and a desire to improve methods/procedures
• Attention to detail
• Outstanding teamwork skills
• Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
